Prichard Point wasn’t exactly a planned stop, but it was the first place we found that would be out of the 25 knots of NE wind forecast for this evening. It turned out to be a pretty good call (Michel’s) since as soon as we got the hooks down and set, a homeowner by the anchorage called us on the VHF and invited us to use his dock, beach, showers, SUV, etc if we felt the need. We called back to let him know that we would take him up on it tomorrow after Michael sorted out what he needed for his windlass. This kind of generosity is commonplace on the Loop and is a constant reminder of how terrific most people really are.
No happy hour tonight – it started to rain shortly after we anchored and we were pretty tired. Linda took a short nap while Gerry checked on email and started working on the journal. Later we had a quick dinner and then off to bed. The anchorage is sort of rolly tonight. Hope we sleep.
Early morning in the anchorage
The lighthouse in Pensacola Bay
Second Star and Emotion III. In the distance you can see the Pensacola Beach Bridge
Colorful tank at the entrance to Little Sabine. We were going to anchor here for the night, but found it was a little too tight. We think perhaps some of the homes and docks were not here when the anchorage was recommended.
