November 10, Day 150 - At Alabama River Cut Off (MM 52.8)

The hurricane turned out to be pretty mellow for us. Lots of rain, but not much wind to speak of. The trees were blowing around pretty good, but we didn’t feel a thing in our little hole.

Linda made coffee but Gerry agreed to make breakfast and cooked breakfast burritos this morning. He also fixed the ice maker – seems that the water pump needed a little nudge.

The dinghy was full of water, so Gerry drained that while Linda worked on the blog. Meanwhile, looks like a good day to tidy up, read a book and take a nap.
It was cold, windy and misty most of the day, so we never got the lines untied from the trees. We will do that first thing in the morning and then be on our way down river.

No pictures today .... dark and dreary.
