January 3, Day 192 – In Clearwater

I wish we could say today was just another day in paradise, but that would really be stretching the truth. In fact, in was cold and dreary without any hint of sunshine. If the day did have a silver lining, it was that it didn’t snow – or rain for that matter.

We spent most of the day inside. Gerry worked on a few computer/software issues and Linda read and searched for recipes for “comfort” food. In the afternoon we watched football. On a positive note, the Ravens won and are in the playoffs. Gerry ventured outside the boat and moved much of the stuff on the flybridge back to the aft deck where it belonged (bikes, fishing gear, etc).

We took a walk, but it was just too darn cold to be outside. Upon returning to the boat, Linda fixed a pressure cooker meal – Roast Pork with Creamy Dijon Sauce – which got 2 thumbs up from Gerry.

Hopefully the weather will improve enough that we can get underway again in a few days. We need to head south and find some warmer temps.
