October 19, Day 128 - In Florence, AL

We slept in again this morning and got a slow start to the day. We decided to stay here one more day and wait for the warmer weather to show up.

We took the courtesy car into Rogersville to see if mail we are expecting had arrived – it had not. We drove to Joe Wheeler State Park to check it out. It is really off the beaten path. There are already many Loopers there. When we leave here tomorrow, we will probably anchor a few days before going to the marina at the state park. It’s very beautiful, but other than the park, not much around. Rogersville is about 5 miles away. We’ll have to ride our bikes to check for mail.

Gerry did a few chores, including fixing Linda`s bike because it was not shifting properly. He also tried, unsuccessfully, to repair the ice machine that had suddenly stopped working. After that we went for a walk and then fixed dinner on board. Tomorrow morning before we leave we`ll take the courtesy car to Target to get another ice machine.

No pictures today – except one night shot of Monk`s Vineyard
