After a lunch of what else – hot dogs, we headed out. Our plan was to anchor in Morrison Creek, but when we got there we were very underwhelmed – so we pressed on. Our next possible anchorage was Alexander Spring Creek. However, this creek seemed to be overgrown with hyacinths and so we continued on. Our next option was one of two oxbows a few miles away: Revolving Bend or River Forest. We stopped at the first one and declared it “perfect”. We were home for the night.
We settled in and enjoyed the sounds and scenery. We caught up with family by phone, had dinner onboard, and then crashed. All in all, a delightful day.
There were already several houseboats staking out a spot. By the time we left there many more either already anchored or making their way through the channel.
Any addition to the springs, there is a big park area with lots of grass, trees and volleyball courts
There are also many picnic tables and bbq grills

A shot of the springs -- the water was very clear
The center of the picture shows the "source" of the spring
Another view of the area
As you can see, there were not many people here today (Friday). That will probably change tomorrow.
You can just barely make out 3 heads in the middle of the picture -- Gerry, Michael and Jana

Here's the local street vendor -- boat style -- get your hots dogs and fresh roasted peanuts right here

Oh look, here comes Michael to pick her up. We couldn't tie the dinghies up to the shoreline, so the guys had to take them out to the mooring posts and then walk/swim back in. When we were ready to leave they had to swim back out and get them and then come back and pick up the women, coolers, towels, chairs, etc.
Here's a little houseboat named Dogs Life. It was overly decorated with all manner of "stuff" -- but cute
