April 18, Day 297 – In Jacksonville

We woke up early this morning. Gerry decided to take advantage of the hot tub and Linda decided to take advantage of the free washers and dryers. Humm ….. who got the better deal here.

After a great breakfast onboard, we spent several hours doing chores. Linda worked on scrubbing down the boat and Gerry installed a bumper on the swim platform. We think that the movement of the dinghy rubbing against the swim platform is what caused the hole in the dinghy. Now that the hole is fixed, we don’t want another.

Gerry did a few more maintenance chores in the afternoon and Linda sat by the pool and read. Later we joined Michael and Jana on Second Star to plot the first part of our St. Johns trip. After our planning session we walked over to the Okinawa Japanese Restaurant. We had a great meal and enjoyed watching the chefs cook the meal at the table. After that it was back to the boat where we watched a little TV and then off to bed.

It was a very peaceful beautiful morning

Gerry enjoyed the morning in the hot tub

It was still early in the morning, so nobody in the pool yet

A shot of the clubhouse

This building is part of the marina complex. It contains condos that are approximately 3,000 sq ft and the asking price is $750,000. Guess the asking price is a bit too high, as they have sold zero since being finished about a year ago.
