We took a walk to see what was close by the marina – found several restaurants that looked interesting and a West Marine. It was hot and humid so we didn’t walk far. At noon we headed back to attend the Looper party. Everyone brought something to grill and a dish to share. There were approximately 55 people that came. We already knew many of the attendees as we’d met them along the way in some other port. Needless to say, there are many Loopers in Florida right now. Many spend the winter here or go to the Bahamas as we plan to do in a few weeks. It was great seeing everyone and catching up on their adventures over the past 2 or 3 months. As is always the case at these events, the food was great.
Later in the day, Linda did one of her favorite things -- laundry. It had really piled up since we hadn’t been able to do any since leaving Ft. Myers.
We checked with our friends, Jim and Karen, in Maryland. They are due to fly to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow (and will then be coming here for a quick visit), but Maryland is getting hit with more snow. Sure hope they can make it but it doesn't sound too promising.
We had a very light dinner, watched a little TV and then off to bed. It was rainy and windy as we turned in. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler than today.
Part of the grounds here at Harbour Cay Club. It is very nice ... and peaceful
The food table ... always a popular place
