Back at the boat the kids were starting to wake up. They got cleaned up, packed and were ready to go by noon. We went for a nice leisurely lunch and then dropped them off at the airport.
We spent the rest of the afternoon driving around the area, went to another movie (we’re seen more movies in a theater the last few days than we have the past 5 years), and then we did some food provisioning and headed back to the boat. We have two looper neighbors – Sales & Nails and Spey. We’ve seen Sales & Nails several times since the river system and we met Spey at Green Turtle Bay.
We got a phone call from our son Derrick just before we went to bed. They were stuck in Detroit. Evidently there were severe thunderstorms in the area and all flights were either cancelled or delayed. (Note: We checked Tuesday morning and they did make it back to Salt Lake City, albeit 3 hours late – 12:30 am).
On our walk, we went by a couple of old churches. This is the Epworth Methodist Episcopal Church from the late 1800's.
This is Freemason Abbey -- now a restaurant

Congratulations on the "unoffical" completion of your loop. We sure loved your home port of Annapolis, and the entire Chesapeake too. It's been fun seeing you guys this past year....Steve and Liz (Shingebiss, currently in Cape May)
Hi there,
Great to hear from you. Thanks for the nice words -- about our completion and about Annapolis. You guys enjoy Cape May. It's a great town. Unfortunately, we got stuck there several days because of bad weather -- and it was the first week of our loop trip.
