December 13, Day 183 – In Clearwater

We awoke to fog this morning. Glad we didn’t have to go anywhere.

Once we finally got moving, we decided to try the marina café for breakfast. Proved to be great food and service. After breakfast we took a walk for several miles along the Beachwalk. The fog soon lifted and it warmed right up. This is a very nice area and there seems to be lots to see and do.

Back at the boat we did on-line Christmas shopping, reserved a rental car, set up a shuttle to the airport, and so on. Thank goodness for the internet. This afternoon the fog rolled back in and you couldn’t even see the other side of the marina. It stayed that way until after sunset. We heard several boats on the VHF talking back and forth about not being able to see a thing. We are thankful we’re not out in it.

Later we had a nice dinner on board – mahi mahi that we had bought at the fish market in Tarpon Springs. After dinner we took another walk, browsed in some of the shops and got some Italian ice cream. The weather was very pleasant … in the 70’s.

It was pretty foggy in the morning and there were not many people on the beach

Then the sun came out -- the beach was very nice
