September 3, Day 82 - Little Current to Gore Bay

We woke up early this morning, had a quick breakfast at the local coffee shop and were on our way to Gore Bay by 7:30. We had a nice easy run and arrived at 11:15. We settled into our slip and then walked around the marina and associated businesses. It is quite a large area and very spread out. The marina will hold a couple hundred boats, but there were very few here. Some of the boats that were here were the same ones we had anchored with in the Benjamins.

After getting cleaned up we went into town to get some lunch. Ended up getting a pizza at the Twin Bluffs Restaurant. It was very good. We did a little shopping and went back to the boat. Gerry worked on computer stuff and Linda decided to take a walk over to the other side of the Bay. There is a boardwalk that goes all the way around. Very enjoyable walk and the weather was perfect. It also gave her a chance to get in some steps now that her Sportsbrain pedometer has dried out and is back working (Yeah ! ! ! !). She was lost without it. No such luck with the camera though. Still not working. It comes on, but you can’t see anything on the screen. We’ll see what a couple more days of drying out does for it. In the meantime, no pictures while she is out walking as she hates to lug around the bigger camera.

After a quick dinner, it was off to bed. We plan on sleeping in tomorrow morning and then going to the farmer’s market and the fresh fish market. Both of them are on Friday mornings here. We just accidently happened to time our stay in Gore Bay to take advantage of both.

Sunrise in Little Current (by now you will have seen this swing bridge several times ... but all the pictures look somewhat different). Gerry was actually up early enough to take this picture.
