Exploring Elbow Cay by Golf Cart

Hope Town is located on Elbow Cay. However, it occupies only a part of the cay. We decided to see what else it had to offer and rented a golf cart to explore the southern end of the island. It was a fun way to see the sights. We went to the southern end to Tahiti Beach where we walked the beach and found quite a bit of sea glass. It was a beautiful area. We stopped at all the resorts, marinas, restaurants and bars where we sampled a few drinks. We had lunch at On Da Beach and enjoyed the fantastic view.

We returned to the boat in the late afternoon, relaxed for awhile and then went back into town to Cap’n Jack’s where we had a drink and a couple of appetizers for dinner. Ya, we know, it's a tough life. While sitting there we bumped into another guy we had met at the AGLCA Rendezvous at Wheeler Park in 2009 while doing the Loop and he joined us. We have seen 4 or 5 other Loopers while in Hope Town.  It really is a small world.

While on our golf cart tour, we stopped here for lunch.

Driftwood on the beach.  It was along this beach that we
found quite a bit of sea glass.
A butterfly playing among the flowers. It wouldn't
stay still, so I didn't get a very clear picture.

A shot of the marina -- very nice -- but basically empty
We stopped at the Abaco Inn.  A nice place with a great view
They also had great drinks.
This one was Gerry's

This one was Linda's

This one was Jana's.  We voted it the prettiest.
