Cypress trees along the bank |
11/9 and 11/10 – We headed out this morning at 8:30 with beautiful blue skies and warm weather. Gerry had on shorts and a T-shirt, but Linda was still in long pants. We had a leisurely cruise down the ICW and decided our anchorage for this evening would be Avendaw. It was a very nice place with lots of marsh grass and beautiful sunsets. It opened up to the ocean and at one point we tried to take the dinghy to the beach, but it was a bit choppy (and not quite as warm as we’d thought), so we settled on exploring the marshes and then returned to the boat. We decided to stay for 2 nights. Very relaxing place.
